In the Discussion section (page 15) of the manuscript, we include the following comment:
“Also, Altmetric.com only uses mentions driven by DOI”.
This comment was included for the purpose of discussing a possible limitation of the results obtained (a lower coverage of documents gathered). However, this sentence is not accurate since Altmetric.com includes not only articles with DOI but also tracks research using PubMed IDs, Arxiv IDs, ISBNs, Handles, URLs and other identifiers, in addition to DOIs, as the official Altmetric support website explains:
In fact, this issue reinforces the general results obtained in the manuscript, as the quantity of academic contributions covered by Dimensions and analysed in the article is higher.
The authors are grateful to Stacy Konkiel for indicating us this mistake, and thus being able to correct it.
